Prague has lots of stunning spots perfect for couple, pre-wedding, or engagement photos. We’ve been to these places with our clients many times. Some are famous for their history and beautiful architecture, while others are set amidst nature or feature cool industrial vibes. Let’s hop on the article and find your best spot!

Prague Castle & Lesser Town

Prague Castle stands as one of the Czech Republic’s most significant monuments. Within the expansive complex lie numerous monuments, with the Cathedral of St. Vitus being the most prominent. Prague Castle also offers beautiful views of the whole of Prague and several beautiful gardens.

Rašínovo nábřeží, Prague Waterfront

Rašínovo nábřeží, a waterfront area, is one of the most attractive and socially lively areas along the river banks in Prague 2. It offers a beautiful view of the Hradčany panorama. The waterfront features numerous built-in cafés and bars, where people seek a relaxed time. However, in the morning, it is often empty, making it an excellent choice for a couple, pre-wedding, or even engagement photoshoot.

National Theatre

The National Theater in Prague is a significant monument, comprising both a new and an old stage, showcasing a variety of architectural styles. Surrounding the theater are numerous picturesque streets. By following the riverbank, you’ll arrive at the iconic Charles Bridge. Nearby, Střelecký Ostrov(Island) provides an excellent point for capturing photos of the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle.

Kampa

Kampa, a small romantic island on the Vltava River in Prague, offers numerous beautiful spots for couples’ photoshoots. These include views overlooking the Charles Bridge, the so-called Prague Venice, Vojanovy sady(a serene park), and many charming streets lined with picturesque houses.

Charles Bridge

Built in the 14th century, Charles Bridge stands as one of the most iconic and photographed monuments in the city. Renowned for its breathtaking views of the cityscape and the Vltava River, it’s a favorite among photographers. Lined with statues of saints and historical towers, the bridge offers numerous picturesque spots and backdrops.

National Museum

One of the most important buildings in Prague is the historic National Museum, which forms an architectural contrast with the new building of the National Museum. It offers many great backdrops for couple photoshoot. In the surrounding area, there are many beautiful passages, such as very significant Lucerna Passage.

Waldstein Garden

The Waldstein Garden, spanning an area of over 14,000 square meters, stands as the second-largest garden in central Prague. Beautifully maintained, the Waldstein Garden boasts the presence of the Senate, a pond, and numerous scenic viewpoints. (Be aware it’s open in the season only)

Old Town Square


The most important square in historic Prague, dating back to the 12th century, is another highly popular location. Adorned by the baroque church of St. Nicholas, Old Town Hall, the astronomical clock, and much more. It serves as an excellent starting point for a couple’s photoshoot, particularly in the early morning hours to avoid the bustle and hustle.

Vyšehrad

Vyšehrad is a historic hillfort, castle, and fortress in Prague, on a rock above the right bank of the Vltava River on the southern edge of the historic city. The location offers beautiful views of the city and the Vltava River and is surrounded by a park. Vyšehrad is less touristy and an original location for a couple photoshoot.

Petřín

Petřin Park is one of Prague’s most beloved destinations, spanning approximately 60 hectares along the left bank of the Vltava River. This oasis, situated not far from the historic center, features beautiful gardens and picturesque views of the town and Prague Castle. The area is particularly popular for couple photoshoots, especially in spring, when cherry blossoms adorn one side of the hill. It offers the perfect blend of nature and stunning backdrops, showcasing Prague’s beautiful architecture.

Strahov


Strahov is a part of Prague found on the west side of Petřín Hill, where Hradčany, Břevnov, and Smíchov meet. It’s known for landmarks like the Strahov stadium and the Strahov monastery. Strahov has interesting buildings and a nice mix of industrial style and parks nearby. This location is especially good for couple photoshoot if you are seeking something original and different.

Stromovka

Stromovka is the perfect place for a romantic photoshoot. Once a royal place founded by one of the Czech rulers, it was transformed into a beautiful park with numerous ponds and hidden places. With an area of 95 ha, it’s by far the largest of Prague’s parks. Green meadows, ponds, and an English park – this is Stromovka!

Strossmayer Square, situated in Prague 7, is dominated by the beautiful Church of Anthony of Padua. The square is conveniently located near Vltavská station, which offers intriguing industrial backdrops. Not far away, we find Stromovka Park, the location mentioned in this article. This option presents a wonderful blend of nature and architecture.

Šárka nature reserve

Divoká Šárka is a nature reserve on the northwestern outskirts of Prague. It’s not too far from the city center. It has many breathtaking views and offers various hiking opportunities and is one of the best couple photoshoot locations. If you like your photo shoots to be a bit more adventurous, this is the perfect place for you. This area is beautiful at any time of day, but we especially love it at sunrise and sunset.
